What Does a Good Home Staging Course Teach?

Home Staging can sometimes be expensive for many home sellers who are on a tight budget. Because of this, they find it wise to get a professional home stager who can deliver changes that can increase the selling potential of their home at first try. They don’t like the idea of hiring a Home Stager who is not sure of what he is doing and who relies on a trial and error method. They prefer a stager who knows the elements of a good Home Staging course and knows how to apply it.

If you are not a trained Home Stager but you are sure that you can be one, then a good Home Staging course is what you need to boost your knowledge and skill. The problem however lies in the fact that there are a lot of Home Staging classes being offered and choosing the best one can be tough, especially if you do not know what you are looking for. To help you with this dilemma, here are things that you should learn from Home Staging courses:

Staging the Exterior
Home Staging is not completely centered to preparing the home’s interior like painting, arranging artworks and furniture, and the like. The outside of the house is as important as its inside. A good Home Staging course should teach you how to stage your home to the maximum by staging the outside. This training should include how to trim overgrown trees, weeding the garden, grass cutting, painting the doors, fences, shutters, and etc. Staging the entry way should also be included in the course.

Staging the Living Room
On this course, you should be taught how to ensure that the living room appeals to the buyer’s taste. Most likely, you will be taught how to make the room look modern and tasteful by using a good combination of colors and lighting effects. Remember that the living room is where the family spends time together and where guests are entertained, surely the buyer will scrutinize this room to see if it’s worth the price. Staging the living room is as important as any other staging lessons in class.

Staging the Kitchen
People, especially moms, spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Home staging training should teach you how to nicely stage a kitchen starting from decluttering, cleaning, removing unnecessary appliances and furniture pieces, arranging the curtains and highlighting your kitchen’s features.

Staging the Bathroom
Lessons on staging the bathrooms are very essential as sometimes buyers base the cleanliness of the whole house on these rooms. The goal for this part of Home Staging training will be to teach you how to make your bathroom look clean, bright, and luxurious. You will be taught how to make the bathroom look presentable by updating some features, putting high quality toiletries, and cleaning as a whole.

Staging a Bedroom
This part of the lesson should teach you how to make the bedroom look neutral, spacious, and comfortable. What color to paint the walls, furniture arrangement, decorating, and proper lighting will be discussed in lessons like this.

Make sure that all elements of a good Home Staging course are taught by your chosen trainer or course provider. Committing to the right trainer will go a long way in your Home Staging career.
